Ryan and I did a long-distance relationship for almost 5 years while he worked in Alabama,  and I stayed in the Philippines to finish my Psychology degree. We were bestfriends first who eventually turned into sweethearts! Our story to get here was far from easy, being faced with 2 years of closed borders due to the pandemic and only seeing each other for limited weeks every year was a challenge due to our commitments at work and school. But our love wins through all time, with God being the center of all our decisions in our relationship.

On October 1 of 2023, a beautiful afternoon in Llandudno, we  both said yes to a lifetime together. We've always imagine this future for us and now we're building it! I am at my happiest with Ryan and I'm very grateful for what we have. Exciting things ahead indeed!

In 2019 I traveled to the island of Palawan in the Philippines, Rina's hometown. This is where we first met. She caught my eye immediately and my heart soon after that. We talked for hours and connected over our love for art and music. Since that moment we’ve chatted almost every day. The longest we’ve gone without talking was when a typhoon knocked out the power and internet on her island for a whole week. I don’t think I’ve ever felt as worried in my whole life as I was during that time. We also had to deal with international borders being closed during the pandemic. It was terrible being separated for so long but in the end it strengthened our relationship. Rina is my dream girl and I love her with all my heart.  It’s completely surreal to finally be preparing for our wedding but that time has finally come. I give thanks to God for blessing our journey together and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her.
