The Making of Rina's Wedding Gown
It's true that a wedding gown is just an attire for a single day. However, It's also a fusion of the bride's tradition and personal identity. Before I traveled to the United States, Tita Mona and I made sure my wedding gown was prepared and ready in the Philippines before I flew. I personally wanted my wedding gown to be created by a Filipino bridal gown designer. From doing many bridal appointments and learning what works best for me. I've chosen PATTY VALLE COUTURE. I've had the best experience working with Ms. Patty and I have huge admiration for her unique style and approach in bridal gowns.
I am excited to be sharing the process of it all!
Wedding dresses I tried on but didn't pick
I had 4 bridal appointments from different designers and all of that has been an enjoyable experience. All the pieces I've tried were beautiful but I didn't get the "this is it" feeling.
I found The One
My last appointment was at Patty Valle Couture, I purposely did this as Ms. Patty bridal designs were my favorites. As they say, save the best for last ;') She was very sweet and we really worked together on what works best for me. We rated each piece I tried on from 1-10 and the wedding gown I rated 1 to is from her 2024 bridal collection "Giovanna". When I tried it on it's just an instant this is it! It aligned with all my vision. We had a total of 3 meetings within a month and a half of making my gown.
On my second fitting I made requests for a few alterations such as making my ribbon longer and the gown to be more floor length.
One thing that I really love with this dress is how comfortable and light it actually is!
Final Fitting!
And that's my dream wedding dress! Thank you so much Ms. Patty! Your creation has made me the happiest bride. Aside from the journey of making my gown, I enjoyed all the meetings and talks we had together!
